Where can I get a list of telephone prefixes which are local to Spokane Washington, to make sure they are not long-distance access numbers? The area code is (509). South Hill of Spokane. I checked the phone book but did not see listing which specified which three digit prefixes were local to this area. There must be a place I can confirm online that will tell me which prefixes are local to this geographical area. Thank you. Can you help me find it?

The 1 800 is a free service, not usually able to call it from abroad.

Paul_1966 replied: "It is actually possible to call most U.S. & Canadian 800 numbers (and 888 etc.) from the U.K. now, although you will still be charged the normal international rate, so there is no advantage other than convenience if you don't have another "normal" number.
So just use the regular number, with 00 for international followed by country code 1 prefixed, i.e.
00-1-905-820-4321.
